In the meantime, though, I am covering the news for you and we have a lot of it to get to. So let's hit the hot notes. Hot notes. First up from Politico. A federal judge appeared skeptical Wednesday of the Trump administration's move to ban three media organizations. 78 journalists from the White House and said he would rule on the matter quickly. U.S. district Judge Timothy Kelly said President Donald Trump's efforts to strip credentials from Politico, CNN and MSNow appear to violate binding legal precedents requiring that journalists have advanced notice of the rules that they have to observe. The Trump appointed judge said during this emergency hearing on Wednesday that the legal precedent wasn't followed here. He just, he started with that. It didn't. It just went downhill for the government from there. Again, he did not rule from the bench. I listened live and I live posted through that hearing on Blue sky. So you can check out how that went almost word for word, more like ideas and feelings, but close to word for word@muellershiroad.com on blue sky. The government's arguments, though I have to say this is just me talking now, were pretty laughable. They opened their, their opening salvo was, may it please the court, the White House press access is a privilege, not a right. I don't think he understands the Constitution. they also said, you know, they're saying we didn't give them any due process, but we totally did. We sent them letters telling that. They're telling them after the fact, after you sued, that they had until this Friday to object. We. Which is, I mean, a bullshit thing. You can't do that after the fact. The judge pointed that out. They also argued the national security standpoint, which is their thing for everything that goes to court now, whether it's the ballroom construction, whether it's the triumphal arch construction, whether it's not having to return a Brago Garcia, whether it's this particular thing and national security is their go to argument. And I think it's because John Roberts, when the court, when the Supreme Court told him that he had to facilitate return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Supreme Court kicked it back down to the lower court and said, yeah, effectuate and facilitate his return. But also remember, you have to give due regard and deference to the executive, to the president in matters of national security or foreign affairs. And ever since that one sentence, and I said this a long time ago, if you've been listening to this show for a while, I'm like, oh, he's going to hang on to that, you know, like a Big Mac. He's not going to let that go. He's going to say everything is for national security. His mail ballot portal is for national security. Whatever it is, the Alien Enemies act is for national security. He's going to keep making that argument, oh, we should be able to deport people to third countries because of national security. We should be able to pay, you know, the guy down there who runs Seacoat Prison, $6 million to take our prisoners for us pursuant to the Alien Enemies Act. So he's been making that stupid argument. The judge today was like, when Boutros, who's the attorney for the plaintiffs for the media outlets, was giving his arguments and said, there's no national security issue here. And the judge was like, yeah, you're totally right. There's not a national security issue here. But just do a hypothetical for me. Is there any situation where national security might justify revoking somebody's press credentials? And they're like, yeah, if that person is a spy or if they're a direct threat to the president. But there's a really high bar for that. Everything else is just discriminatory, you know, cutting people off under the First Amendment, like violating the First Amendment. And, it just went on like that for. For quite a while. But I thought Boutros argued beautifully on behalf of the media organizations. He's done this before. He did it in the Acosta case, he just did it in the Associated Press case. And he brought up the fact like, we don't have to guess if this was discriminatory. Trump said it himself. He said this was about the content of the reporting. They didn't come out with the national security argument until after we sued, days later on Monday morning. That's when they went, oh, well, we better make some sort of national security legal argument here. So anyway, it didn't go well for the government. I'm going to check the docket here one last time as I record this, and maybe another time before we hang up here, but to see if there's a ruling. But there is not a ruling yet. I thought he would rule from the bench, but he had, hasn't. And as of 4:15pm Pacific Time on Wednesday, he still has not entered a ruling. I predict he will enter either a temporary restraining order or a preliminary injunction. He might go as far as to make it more permanent than a temporary restraining order, which is called a preliminary injunction. What I'm curious to see is whether he rules just on the due process part, you know, where you. You can't revoke someone's badge until you tell them what they're doing wrong and give them a chance to fall in line, whether he does just that or whether he does what the plaintiffs argued, which was, you should also find for us on First Amendment grounds, because if you just find for us on due process grounds, he'll come back and do it again with some due process while violating our First Amendment rights, some bullshit due process like he tried to do after the fact, post hoc here in this case. So I'd be interested to see if he rules on the First Amendment grounds as well. But the judge said early on, he's like, I don't think we even have to get past due process. But Boutrose's argument was like, please do so that we don't come back and see you again. All right, next up from the Post. The White House told Politico in a letter Tuesday that it took the unusual step of revoking its press passes last week because the news organization had violated professional standards, including by using anonymous sources and, quote, trafficking in verifiable falsehoods about national security and publishing sensitive or classified information. That's what this case was about, what the hearing was about today. But among the examples the White House cited was an article by Politico based on a press call that the White House hosted, according to an invitation reviewed by the Washington Post. In the call, reporters were instructed to cite an anonymous senior administration official. They were instructed by the White House to cite an anonymous senior administration official in relaying the news to the public. That's according to a recording of the call. The letter citing this report was one of three submitted by the government in court Tuesday in defense of its ban on Politico. Along with CNN and Ms. Now, one of POLITICO's six alleged offenses, according to the White House letter, is a June 2026 article that begins by quoting a senior administration official who details a push to end the war in Iran, quote. In June 2026, Politico cited a senior administration official granted anonymity, said the odds of a preliminary deal to end the conflict with Iran were between 80 and 85%. The White House letter reads alongside a message that unauthorized leaks can harm national security. Publication of sensitive security information and misinformation about national security information diverts White House resources and those of the national security team in particular, the letter said. He went on to say the spread of misinformation, especially relating to national security, is a threat that undermines the president's ability to safeguard national security. The source in Politico's story was not speaking against the White House's wishes, but spoke in an authorized call during which reporters were instructed to attribute the information to an anonymous senior administration official. That senior administration official, by the way, was J.D. vance. All right, let's turn our eyes to the midterms for a second. This is from Democracy Docket. Missouri Republicans are making their last ditch pitch to the U.S. supreme Court to swap congressional maps back again for the midterms, even as voting is already underway in the Show Me State. Local election officials have sent out some overseas and absentee ballots using congressional district lines drawn in 2022 in accordance with the ruling from the Missouri Supreme Court. But a federal appeals court this week ordered Missouri to use a gerrymandered map passed in 2025, which it used for the August primary. Despite the Missouri Supreme Court unanimously ruling that the map has never gone into legal effect and cannot be used unless voters approve it in a referendum, the Republican candidates argue Missouri must use the maps for both the primary and the general elections to ensure voters have a chance to choose their representatives. That is false. That is nowhere in the law. Quote, more than 1.4 million Missourians could not vote for the congressional district nominees who will appear on their November 2026 general election ballot. And more than a quarter million Missourians who voted in the August primary election cast a vote for a congressional district candidate who cannot now represent them. That's what they wrote in a brief to the Supreme Court. Missouri state officials echoed that argument in their own brief to the justices. If this court grants a stay, that would be the fifth time this court has ordered Missouri to use a different congressional map since September 3, when the Missouri Supreme Court became the first court to ever enter an injunction forcing the state to use a dramatically different congressional map between primary and general election. That's what the state officials wrote. The honest truth, they said, is that the chaos injected by the Missouri Supreme Court will remain no matter what this court does. All right, well then keep it there. Florida, Texas and 20 other red states filed a brief in support of Missouri's Republican gerrymander. And in that filing they lambasted the Missouri Supreme Court for what they said was an 11th hour overhaul after it ruled earlier this month the map was never legal. A decision from the US Supreme Court could come at any time. It will be the third time in as many weeks that the justice's rule on the issue after the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals revived the gerrymander on Monday. And I'm going to go and make sure again that we don't have a ruling in that case which could come at any time. And seeing none, we will move on to the next story from Politico. Lazy Postal Worker or Election Tampering Mastermind? The Justice Department called it a breathless press conference Tuesday aimed at portraying a 34 year old former mailman from Utah as the latter an election tampering mastermind, saying his alleged decision to discard 300 mail in ballots in a dumpster makes him a danger to the public and to the integrity of the electoral system. Top DOJ officials pointed to the episode which allegedly occurred in June in the primary election and resulted in an indictment unsealed on Tuesday day as proof of the validity of Trump's demand for a nationwide crackdown on mail in voting. Acting Deputy Attorney General Trent McCotter used the press conference to criticize a federal judge who blocked Donald's plan to give the Postal Service more authority over mail in ballots, omitting any specific mention of the fact that the Supreme Court kept that plan on ice for this year as well. Quote, anyone who commits a crime that violates the integrity of our elections will be brought to justice. The right of American citizens to have their votes properly counted is vital, unless they arrive after Election Day but are postmarked before Election Day. Like, come on, it's vital to determining the rightful winner of an election. But the actions of even one malicious actor on the ground can fatally undercut that security. Really? 300 ballots in a primary in Utah? Okay. Prosecutors quickly conceded some facts about the mailman mystery that make the episode seem somewhat different than the kind that typically attracts the attention of the justice's number two official or leads to a televised briefing for reporters at DOJ headquarters. Damon Se, who has no criminal history, told investigators he tossed a big pile of mail which contained the ballots not to tamper with votes, but to lighten his workload on a busy day. In a written statement summarized in court paper, say said he has no political agenda, just felt overwhelmed and decided to get rid of advertisement mail. U.S. attorney Melissa Holyoke said Se's actions were grave. He betrayed the public's trust when he allegedly threw hundreds of ballots in the trash. However, SEI bluntly summed up his motive this laziness. Prosecutors say they found his claim of ignorance of the contents of the mail implausible, that due to the markings, he likely understood he was discarding ballots in the pile of mail, but they didn't characterize the volume. Prosecutors also said they had no indication of whether the people whose ballots were thrown away ultimately voted, which way, or although a court filing said an election official described, participation in the relevant election in that area is remarkably low. So you don't we don't even know if they were filled out ballots. In a statement, the Postal Service said safeguarding the mail and maintaining the public's trust are fundamental to our core mission. Illegal mail handling behavior by employees will not be tolerated and perpetrators will be held accountable. Great. Yeah, indict him for throwing away mail. Utah currently mails ballots to all voters, although it's set to phase that out in 2020. 9. McCotter from the DOJ and other officials were flanked at the press conference by posters showing a sample of the ballots they never actually recovered. The actual ballots and a less dramatic photo of the scene of the crime, which is an empty dumpster in a church parking lot. Say was arrested Tuesday and appeared in federal court in Salt Lake City. According to court records, he entered a not guilty plea to the single count he faces secreting, destroying and delaying mail. The charge carries a maximum punishment of up to five years in prison, although postal workers found guilty of such charges typically receive a month or two in prison. All right, next up from the Post in the weeks leading up to his resignation last year, the first architect on the White House ballroom clashed with Donald Trump over design features that the architect believed violated building safety codes. That's according to two people with knowledge of the discussions and corroborating documents reviewed by the post. James McCrary II withdrew from the project last October after warning repeatedly that Trump was insisting on a preliminary design that did not provide adequate emergency exit routes or fire containment measures. He's had this problem in the past with his own buildings. That's what the people who said, by the way, spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe these private discussions. Trump brushed off McCrary's concerns and that the president countered that no building codes apply to the White House. Quote, I am the code, trump said. Reminds me of Nixon. I am the law. Now. That episode is described by people familiar with it offers new insight to Trump's priorities at the ballroom at a time when he's flexing executive power to fast track construction projects across the nation's capital. The interviews and documents obtained by the Post included early ballroom designs and images Trump appeared to have marked up with his trademark black ink sharpie also show how deeply involved the president has been in the details of the project. White House renovations and construction are typically handled by federal agencies required by law to comply with nationally recognized building safety standards to the maximum extent feasible, unless doing so would present, guess what? A national security risk. But Trump's White House construction projects are being routed through the Executive Residence, a tiny office that is not a federal agency and is therefore exempt from the rules of governing agencies. Discussions about the safety issues in the ballroom's design continued for months after McCreary resigned, according to the White House records. It is not clear from the records reviewed by the Post whether the safety issues identified have been resolved in more recent designs by Shalom Baranez. That's an architectural firm that replaced McCrary's firm late last year. The Shalom Baranas Associates, initially declined to comment. In a statement after the story was published, Shalom Baranes, the company's founding principal, said, I can unequivocally state that the ballroom complex has been designed to conform to applicable national building code standards. Really? Because I don't think I would be too sad if it didn't meet fire code and something were to happen. I'm just saying now. When Post reporters visited McCrary's office this month, he asked them to leave and do not contact me again. On Tuesday, in response to questions from the Post and details about this reporting, McCrary issued a statement through a spokesperson. President Trump entrusted me with the earliest stages of the new ballroom design. I am truly grateful for that honor and for the rich experience of working for for him alongside all the highly talented and committed patriots of the Executive Mansion. Having completed the earliest designs, I stepped aside and a new firm was engaged m the Post previously reported that mcquary clashed with Trump over the size of the ballroom. In response to questions Tuesday, McCrary didn't provide specific reasons for his resignation. A White House spokesman said that it would be factually false and totally inaccurate to say that McCrary's departure from the project was in any way associated with code issues. He's done this before. He had a fire sprinkler system in one of his buildings fail. It wasn't up to code. And I, believe people died. So, you know, I'm not surprised at all by this. The cutting corners. We saw it with the Reflecting Pool and, and we'll see it with this ballroom. Anyway. All right, this is a tragic story from cnn and it contains discussion of suicide. Eight U.S. navy personnel assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group attempted suicide during a period that included when the ships undertook combat operations against Iran, and the carrier set a modern record for its time at sea. And that's according to a letter from the service's acting secretary, which was obtained by cnn. Acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao revealed the number, which has not been previously reported, and covers crew members from several ships that traveled together in the strike group, including the carrier. In written responses to questions posted by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand about the morale and mental health of the Abraham Lincoln's crew, Cal wrote that no service members had actually killed themselves during the deployment. Eight attempted suicides is incredibly high, one US Military official told cnn, noting recent carrier strike group deployments have had one or two per year. The strain of combat ops is much higher than normal deployments, no port calls, constant alerts, etc. The Navy, of course, did not respond ahead of publication to a request for comment about the letter. And our last story is from the Associated Press. Harvey Weinstein was sentenced Wednesday to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a TV production assistant 20 years ago, capping, a years long legal odyssey that a judge said cemented the disgraced movie mogul's reputation as the literal face of the MeToo movement. The landmark New York prosecution began nearly a decade ago with multiple accusers. But after retrials, mistrials, acquittals and appeals, it was whittled to a single victim, Miriam Haley, who said the Oscar winning producer forcibly performed oral sex on her at his Manhattan apartment. She had worked briefly on the Weinstein production reality series Project Runway and 10 years. Mistrials, acquittals, appeals, whittling down to a single victim. It's not hard to understand why it's difficult to come forward. Weinstein, 74, pleaded for mercy, citing his age and his health issues, including cancer and congestive heart failure. He apologized to anyone I have affected with my actions, but not the woman he raped. And he said he felt remorse for Haley. But I have to reiterate my innocence, he said, and that he will appeal. Judge Curtis Farber said Weinstein wielded his power as a Hollywood kingmaker to prey on women looking to break into the industry, treating them as, quote, mere objects to be played with and discarded with impunity. Farber said Weinstein's refusal to accept responsibility, portraying himself as the victim during jailhouse interviews, weighed heavily on his sentencing decision. Weinstein had faced up to 25 years in prison. Haley, the survivor, credited the swell of other accusers, some of whom she hugged afterward, for giving her the courage to come forward. For years, she said it was like a dark and painful secret that ate away at my spirit, my enthusiasm and sense of self worth that it took a long time to regain. Jailed since his original conviction, Weinstein's already served more than six years behind bars, leaving him with about nine years left on his sentence. But a pending resentencing in Los Angeles, where he was originally ordered to serve 16 years in prison for a 2013 rape, could put him away for the rest of his life. Judge Farber said. It'll be his counterpart in California who decides whether Weinstein can serve his sentences in concurrently. At the same time, Buddy said, if it were up to me, I'd run them consecutively, stacking Weinstein's New York punishment on top of the Los Angeles sentence. I hope he dies in prison. all right. Happy to be joined today by my friend, comedian, activist, working with flairusa.org on an upcoming event called October Surprise, taking place October 6th through the 8th. Hey, great. Thank you so much for having me.
It's always a pleasure, always a pleasure to speak to you, my friend. I know you're very, very busy, so I appreciate you taking a few minutes out of your busy schedule to come and talk to us. Let's talk about, I mean, you've done so many events and I know that you work with Flare a lot. Tell us about flair.
So flair stands for, for liberation and resistance everywhere. And Flair has had a, permanent, well, semi permanent encampment set up in Washington D.C. since May of 25. And they are leading citizens in the Congress, three times a week to lobby for impeachment mainly as the main focus. Because despite what a lot of people might stupidly say, impeachment is our only constitutional means to remove this guy. And not just to remove him, but to remove them. So as long as we're operating under the Constitution, still which one party seems to be, that's our play, it's our only play. So they've been pushing really hard for impeachment. I go as often as I can and I try to make a lot of fuss and raise some money and get more people to turn out. So a couple different times, I kind of tried my best to help direct people and on two different occasions we led around 1500 citizens into the halls of Congress. no one does that. And that number doesn't sound huge when you compare it with like an 8 million person protest or something. But literally no one leads 1500 people into Congress. not the pro lifers, not the NRA, nobody. So on October 6th through 8th, our goal is to lead 3,500 people into Congress. That's what we're aiming for. And the goal of the October surprise event is to go into mostly the MAGA offices and say if you think you're going to overturn the midterms and that the American people aren't going to hold you accountable, that you're not going to face any consequences, that you're not going to answer to Americans. You're out of your mind. I don't think that these MAGA cultists fully understand the chapter of darkness that they will be ushering into this country if they prevent this election from being free and fair or if they prevent these people from taking power once they do win their elections. And I don't think they're thinking ahead, I don't think they're fully ready for the chaos that will ensue in this country. And it's really stupid and reckless and selfish of them to put themselves through that and to put their families through that. Because when the American people realize their democracy has been toppled, world, we're not going to just like go fight each other in the streets. I mean I'm you know, I would never do anything wrong, period, because I'm a law abiding citizen. But People who are pissed off. They're going to come looking for the people who enabled their democracy to be shattered. And I wouldn't want to be one of those people. If I had a hand in toppling one of the oldest democracies on earth, I sure would make sure they have room for me on one of those military bases where Russ Vaughn and Stephen Miller live now.
Yeah. Or in a big ballroom with a triumphal arch full of ammunition.
Yeah. Or Mark Zuckerberg's bunker.
And I think you actually have a better argument going in this time than, maybe you've had in the past. We've got Trump's approval rating in the 20s. Now he's clocking in at 29. He's a lame duck president. We've seen the reckoning happen that we've been talking about now for a couple years, that at some point, if these guys want to get elected again, members of Congress, Republican members of Congress, they'll have to back away from Trump. And we've seen it in droves. Byron Donald's removing any mention of Trump from his websites. Ah, same with multiple other Republican candidates in the midterms. We've seen people who wouldn't show up to the GOP midterm convention because they didn't want to associate with Donald Trump anymore. So to try to get more MAGA people on board to impeach him when nothing else can be done, and we've taken the Congress, I think it's going to be a lot easier than it would have been, you know, a year and a half ago. And I think that you articulated that really well in a recent Instagram post. I think it's at almost a million views now, where you're like, all right, look, maga. It's getting real hard to stay on the Trump train these days, isn't it?
Yeah, yeah. Really. You know, and a lot of people sort of, poo, poo, this idea of impeachment. Well, we impeached him once, and it's like, have you never heard the expression, if at first you don't succeed, give, up like a coward? That's not how it goes. You try, try again twice.
Maybe the third time's the charm, you know?
Well, you know, in that. And this is like, this is the. These are the mechanisms we have in the structure that we're living within. And, you know, we saw it with the Epstein, with the release of, well, the. The sort of, theatrical faux release of the Epstein files. Every single Republican, with the exception of maybe four voted against releasing those files until they realized that every single Democrat was on board and some of their Republican brethren were on board. Once they realized the inevitability of it, every single one of them voted to release the files except for Clay Higgins. And it's probably just because he can't read and he didn't know what was going on. So, you know, we do see these people defect and they do it in their own self interest when they know they don't have another choice. And that's what will happen with impeachment. if we can take the House and the Senate, we're going to have every Democrat on board eventually. And these MAGA people are going to start coming over. These people that already despise him and are sick of everything that he's doing. They don't want him at their campaign events. They don't want him on their websites. Those people are swayable. And everybody needs to understand these MAGA cultists are going along to get along. I bet you 60, 70, maybe 80% of these MAGA people in Congress don't actually think that he's like a bald eagle, Jesus Patriot guy. They know he's a scumbag. They know he's a predator. They know he's a con man. They know he's a traitor. But they're scared because they're spineless, weak people who m never should have been in office. They're the dumbest people from your high school. They never deserve to be in office, but here they are. But they have to be more afraid of the American people than they are of a dying pedophile in a diaper. And that's our job as citizens. To go into their office and say, hey, you need to decide today. Would you rather face tens of millions of pissed off Americans willing to do whatever it takes to defend their democracy or a dying pedophile who wears a diaper? You need to decide right now which of those outcomes you think is going to be better for you.
Yeah, yeah. And talk a little bit more about October Surprise. Like you said, it's October 6th through the 8th. How do people join this movement if they want to come and surprise Congress with you in October and talk to maga, let them know we're going to be taking the House and probably the Senate, and it's time to start thinking real hard now about how you can get rid of this President. Because you know they'll get to keep Republican in the White house. It'll be J.D. vance that takes over. So it's not you know, it's not like we're asking them to install a Democrat in the White House at this point. So talk a little bit about, like, if I wanted to come to this event, what do I need to do? What does that look like?
So, the link for all the information is flairusa.org October surprise. But it's if you just go to flairusa.org, you can find it that way too. And at that link, we kind of list everything. We try our best to explain everything and FAQs and we list some hotels that are close to where we're going to be doing all of this. Hostels, campgrounds. We try to really give you every option we can. Our goal is to train everyone on October 6th. So we've got, an event space. We're going to have to do multiple trainings because we're going to have so many people that we'll train you all day on the 6th and then you'll have free time. You'll be able to hang out with all these other like minded people. We really, really want you to exchange contact information. We want you to build networks where you live, we want you to all keep in touch with each other and spitball and come up with ideas on how to fight this and begin manifesting those. But on the 6th, we'll train you all day and the rest of the day after your training and before will be your free time to hopefully be social and network with people. On the 7th, that's going to be a more traditional day like we normally do, where we're going to lead. you know, our goal is to get 3,500 people to this thing. So our goal is to put 700 people in every congressional building. There will be marshals for each group. You will know the talking points, you'll have handouts. And your handout is essentially the script. So if it's your turn to talk and you just want to read that handout straight to the faces of these staffers, that's totally fine. Then we're going to leave those handouts behind everywhere that we can. We want to make sure that Congress really gets bombarded with this handout that basically says hands off our midterms or you're going to answer to the people. And that's the nicest way that we can think of to say it. but we hope they'll use their imaginations when they read that sentence. So we're going to go into Congress,
maybe also remind them that, Trump has immunity, but they don't oh, 100%,
and none of them have immunity for state charges. And, we're going to go into the Democrats offices. We're going to thank the ones who are supporting impeachment. We're going to intensely chastise the ones who aren't, maybe ones that are taking secret meetings with Jared Kushner and licking APAC boots and that kind of thing. And then we're going to go into these MAGA offices. And the goal for October 8th is, a real blitz of these MAGA offices where we're going to go in and we're going to be, totally peaceful, totally legal, totally constitutional. But we're not going to be polite. We're going to be very firm, and we're going to tell these people, you need to do some serious soul searching. If you think you're going to help enable this dying pedophile to steal these midterms, you need to play that forward, a month or two or six, and understand that the American people are going to bring consequences to you, directly to you. And you need to make sure you want to sign up for that. and we don't need 100 of them to stand up for democracy. We need one Mike Pence. We need one Brad Roethlisberger. We need five or ten of these people to go, hey, I'm not going to keep Democrats from being seated. I'm not on board with that. I'm not going to say that this election was not fair. We need enough of these people to not participate, to encourage the other MAGA cowards to also, grow a backbone, because courage is contagious and they don't have any because they're rarely around any. So, come lend them your courage and maybe they'll catch it by accident.
Yeah. And it also seems like the minute they do grow a spine, it's because they've been primaried or they're retiring and they're on their way out. And we've got a handful of them as well, but they, will definitely not hold the gavels in the House come a couple months from now, and maybe even the Senate. So, looking forward to this event. It's not a quirk. It's not some like, accident that he's destabilizing law enforcement and the Department of Education. It's not an accident that people have measles and the lettuce will kill you. In my humble opinion, we're losing in Iran on purpose. Russia's thrilled that Iran has control of the Strait of Hormuz. We've lifted sanctions on Russian oil and Iranian oil even while they're killing our troops. This is the deliberate destabilization of the United States so that it will be easier to topple. And I really think that going and getting in these people's faces and saying, you need to decide right now, do you want to be a bootlicker and a pawn for a dying pedophile in a diaper, or do you want to be a real American? I really think it's an action worth doing. And I think it could be our sort of last peaceful Hail Mary to get these people to develop a conscience and at least some foresight to look forward and realize they don't want the smoke that they think they want.
Yeah. And I always like, you know, if these people are motivated by money, I'm always like, well, think of how. Think of the riches of avarice you will have if you are the hero that helps do this. If you are, think of the legacy. Think of how history will remember you as opposed to completely forgetting about you and being relegated to the dustbin of fascist history in a failed uprising, you know, coup attempt. I mean, pick. Pick your battles. Nobody remembers who the Rush Limbaugh is. Like, who do you want to be? You know, I just, I feel like there's just a lot of shameless people in there. But it's so much easier and I think more lucrative to be a hero in these times. So it's just my two cents. That would be my little spiel. But I appreciate you coming in and talking to us today. We're safe, happy and healthy now and we live in a red area in an effort to help turn the tide. Nice. When it comes to the kids, we keep them informed. the middle one, 16 years old, has taken to keeping himself informed and having open, honest and genuine conversations with his peers in a way that I never realized. I taught him. He started taking civics classes at a great local alternative school. And I'm seeing hints of ambition to be involved in local politics. It's incredibly intelligent and so well spoken that I can't Wait to see if I'm right. I'm so proud of him. And I'm so proud of myself and my husband for contributing such a. A great human to society when it needs it most. I give you guys some of the credit for it too. It's because of this podcast I've been able to keep up on things in the right perspective and maintain hope over the last couple years in order to be able to be the guide I am for the kids. In 1966 I attended a teach in on Vietnam. Across the street from San Fernando Valley State college in a private residence. In attendance were a few dozen young mixed eager students and an adult or two. There was cheap wine and cheaper sugar weed. The entertainment was a few speakers from Black Power and sclc, as well as an east coast blues man checking out the west coast scene. His name was Taj Mahal. A great time was had. We were invited to attend a follow on presentation at the Universalist Church in the shadow of an elevated section of the 405. The following day, after milling around the more than 50 gathered, the pastor, a lady who came on stage and began to speak, halted suddenly and blurted out don't turn around a few times. Don't let them see your faces. She explained that a couple of cars had stopped on the berm and had telephoto lenses pointing toward us. There was pause, as if no one knew what to do and someone yelled fuck em. I chimed in with moon them. Another pause and she came back with fuck em. Moon em. It was epic. These were not shy pant flashes. These were panties and drawers to the ankles, bent over at the waist such that our A holes were flashing. Those A holes. The laughter was uproarious. The smiles were big. The pastor cheered us on. Her name was on the marquee, so they knew her. We were simply a bunch of anonymous buns sending vertical smiles in their general direction. It wasn't long until the pastor began laughing and cheering as they packed up and drove away. We all had time to flip them off as they drove off with identifying ass shots. Earlier this year, I was exploring some cointelpro files that did mention surveillance activities at the time and at, ah, sfvsc. But no butt talk. Oh, that's too bad. Keep up the great work.
