msw media. Hello and welcome to the Daily beans for Friday, October 23, 2026. Today, Todd Blanch doesn't rule out blocking certain states midterm election certifications. The Pentagon granted DHS permission to test a crowd control heatwave weapon. The DCCC is running an anti trans ad in South Carolina. A Kushner phone hack has revealed how the Middle east dictators bought him off. Corey Lewandowski is under federal criminal investigation. The Department of Justice indicted Virginia state Senator Louise Lucas over a cannabis business. A judge has ordered Donald Trump to be deposed in his own lawsuit against the BBC by December 11. A court order has barred DHS from election related investigations in nine states finding that error prone government lists could sweep up U.S. citizens in the effort. And Pete Hegseth wanted Eisenhower's globe for his office and his staff broke it. I'm Alison Gill.
And I'm Dana Goldberg.
I mean, just what a metaphor for this entire administration.
Such a piece of garbage, all of them. I mean, leave other people's shit alone. Stop breaking this country. Stop breaking globes. Stop breaking this country.
Yeah, they broke the world. Okay? That's what happened. The Trump administration broke the world. well, it is Friday on the Daily Beans, which means it's fugal saying Fridays. We're going to be talking to John Fugelsang, who's also co hosting an event with me, a virtual live stream that features speaker emerita Nancy Pelosi, a bunch of candidates running in tight races to flip Congress, and Stephanie Miller and Steve Pearson. That's today at 3:00pm Pacific Time Friday. And you can get a link to register in the show notes. I'm really looking forward to that. And I recently got to chat with Michael Popok on Legal AF over on the Midas network. And we'll have a link in the show notes for that conversation too.
Awesome.
How are you doing? I mean, we're almost at the, we're at the, the end of the week now and it's been m a really long one.
I mean, I'm going back to one of my favorite cities this weekend. I'll be in Chicago for the Human Rights Campaign gala. So I'll be working this weekend and raising some more money. So. But I'm tired. This week feels really exhausting. Like we have to remember on top of everything that's going on in the world, all of us are dealing with our own personal stuff and no one's life is probably just like fucking sunshine and roses all the time. But if it is good on you and I think this week I'm just tired. It's just a compilation of everything. I'm tired.
Yeah.
And then you have that looming, lingering kind of. It's an election season that's about to come to a close that I think also puts a lot of stress on us.
Yeah, I think so, too. It's that not knowing part. I'm not good in that space at all.
No, no, me neither. So I hope everyone's taking good care of themselves and each other and we will get through this and continue to, you know, there's still always a lot of work to do, and we'll all do it together.
Yeah.
All right. We have so much news to get to today. We're gonna have to do some quick hits. And to make a long story short. All right, first up from the Washington Post, the Justice Department indicted Virginia State Senator, L. Louise Lucas, one of the most powerful Democrats in the commonwealth, as part of a long running corruption investigation involving a family run marijuana business. The indictment, which was returned by a federal grand jury in Virginia last week and unsealed Thursday morning, alleges that Lucas and her relatives set up a business to sell marijuana before the substance was legalized for recreational sales in the commonweal. Lucas, who co owns a marijuana business, has turned herself into authorities. While multiple members of her family were arrested Thursday morning, she said, I grew up under Jim Crow, you know, referring to laws that segregated the south for decades after slavery was barred. And she went on to say, I've seen what happens when people in power try to silence those who stand up to them. I spent my life fighting back and I'm not stopping now. So we'll keep an eye on this.
All right, good for her. This next one's from Erin Reed. Erin in the morning, who we love this week, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the dccc, by the way, that's the official campaign arm of House Democrats, began to run an ad in South Carolina for Nancy LaCour, the Democratic nominee in South Carolina's 1st congressional district. The ad appears to be the first instance of the high level Democratic organization running an ad targeting transgender people. I'm so fucking pissed about this. The 32nd spot, titled SC01, that's Nancy, went on YouTube October 19th and began airing yesterday in Charleston and Savannah as part of the committee's coordinated spending in key battleground districts. It features Mount Pleasant Mayor Will Haney, who is a lifelong Republican, supporting a Democrat for Congress. Specifically, it highlights the core support for a transgender sports band, with Haney stating she would protect girls sports. A, statement that a campaign representative confirms refers to barring transgender girls from girls sports. When asked by the Post in Courier about the ad, her campaign manager, Kaylee Haberstrow, confirmed that LaCour does not support transgender girls playing in girls sports leagues and would potentially support legislation in Congress against it. And this is a quote. She wants to acknowledge those concerns that she's heard because it is a big issue for voters right now. No, it's been made a big issue and it shouldn't be. It's not a big issue for most of the voters in this country. I don't know why they keep tripping over themselves like this. You're doing too much. Democrats that are opposing transgender rights, you are doing too much and getting too little.
This is a stupid cell phone. In, in my opinion, it is not an important issue. I mean, it's obviously trans rights is an important issue, but this is not on the top of voters minds, girls in women's sport. Because, it, it never even like breaks the top five of, of concerns people have in this country. It's always corruption and health care and prices and food and gas and heating and like, it's not, it doesn't pull in the top five of, of concerns on voters minds. And you know, Zoe Zephyr proved that in Montana. And I, I think that this could backfire. Why would you. Anyway, it's very annoying. I know from the Times the Justice Department has opened a criminal investigation into Corey Lewandowski over accused. If you don't think there's enough room under Trump's bus, it's crowded under there. But if you think you won't get thrown under it, yes, you will. The hell is your problem? This is over accusations that he personally profited from his role as a top advisor at the Department of Homeland Security, and it's because he didn't cut Trump in. That's what, that's what's going on. The inquiry, one of the rare instances in which an ally or appointee of Trump has been investigated for potential wrongdoing during his second term is in response to a referral from the Department of Homeland Security's inspection Inspector general. It was not immediately clear what actions are under investigation, but we can guess. We know what it is. It's probably that consulting slush fund company he set up where if you wanted to keep or get a government contract, you had to give him $14 million a pop or whatever that sounds. Right, yeah, I'm sure it's that. But anyway, we're going to discuss this in depth on this weekend's episode of the Unjustified podcast. So stay tuned.
All right, thanks, Ag. This one's from the Times. A federal judge in California on Wednesday blocked the Homeland Security Department from carrying out most field oper focused on uncovering voter fraud in nine states as part of a broader push to identify noncitizen voters. The ruling came less than two weeks before the midterm elections. The Trump administration has launched a blitz of operations focused on finding evidence of noncitizen voting, also a waste of time, by the way. Or tying up election processes in states where it has dubiously claimed that large numbers of noncitizens are registered to vote. Now, the ruling covered stops and field interviews. The sirens that you hear are actually going after these people.
They're coming for you.
Yeah, they're coming for you. The ruling covered stops and field interviews being carried out by hundreds of Department of Homeland Security agents assigned to fan out across the country in search of instances of voter fraud. By the way, that's under what the administration has referred to as the unlawful voter initiative. Wow, they really workshop this shit, don't they? In a concise 19 page ruling, Judge Araceli Martinez Oguin wrote that the stops appeared likely to hamper voter engagement and registration by a coalition of local governments and nonprofit groups. As with other initiatives in which the Trump administration has used federal immigration data to infer the citizenship status of people on state voter rolls, she wrote, there were already signs that the target lists the government had generated contained errors and including naturalized citizens. We've known this, we know this. People are getting swept up in it. That's the point. They don't give a shit.
Yeah. So I'm glad this judge is blocking that. These are the. You've seen the videos of the people in the HSI uniforms banging on doors, going door to door, asking people m if they voted. Did you register to vote? Just awful voter intimidation. Yeah. All right, we have the hot notes to get to, but we do have to take a quick break, so stick around. We'll be right back after these messages.
We'll be right back.
Hey, everybody. I keep coming back to One Skin because their strategy works. Tackle the issue before it becomes a problem. They know that you have to start addressing how your skin ages at a cellular level. And One Skin was founded by four Ph.D. longevity scientists who found that some cells become dysfunctional as skin ages and can start affecting the healthy cells around them. They developed OS1, their proprietary peptide, to work with skin biology to target those dysfunctional cells. That peptide is the foundation and they just keep building on it every year and it just keeps getting better and better. That is one of the many reasons I love my favorite One Skin products. The results are gradual but noticeable. My skin looks firmer and smoother. The tone is more even. My skin feels more elastic and more radiant, and my fine lines are less visible. It wasn't an overnight change by any means, but you can see it more the longer I use it. And One Skin has four peer reviewed clinical studies showing how it works and more than 10,000 five star reviews. And they've even been recognized by Bloomberg and Fast Company as a leader in skin longevity. So I am certainly not the only one who can see and feel the difference. Born from over 10 years of longevity research, One Skin is helping you unlock your healthiest skin now. And as you age and for a limited time, try One Skin with 15% off using code Daily Beans at One Skin Co Daily Beans. That's 15% off. One Skin Co with code Daily Beans. Now after your purchase, they'll ask where you heard about them. Please support our show and tell them we sent you. Everybody, welcome back. It's time for the Hot notes. Hot notes. All right. First up from tnr, Jared Kushner oversaw foreign slush funds filled and managed by the leaders of the uae, Saudi Arabia and Israel. That's according to Vanity Fair. In the forthcoming book Princes and Thieves, Jared Kushner and Muhammad bin Zayed's secret plot to remake the Middle east, the author Matthew Cole made a shocking revelation about Trump's son in law's potentially illegal dealings with foreign dictators. To the surprise of no one, during the first Trump administration, the Netherlands Defense Intelligence and Security Services discovered a way to hack Kushner's iPhone.
Oh, my God.
Amazing. Officials learned that he was secretly moving hundreds of thousands of dollars through a bank account at First Dubai Bank. Crucially, Kushner did not own the account. He was merely a signatory for the account managed and owned by the Watani Al Emirat Foundation. That's a government funded charity run by Deirhar Belul Al Falazi. That's a close friend of the UAE President, Mohammed bin Syed Al Nahihan. That's referred to as MBZ. Right. Starting in 2017, the Saudis and Emiratis transferred about $750 million into the account to be used as a foreign policy slush fund. The charity was used to fund the UAE government's covert intelligence operations overseas as well as its secret weapons purchasing programs. Okay, this Is Iran Contra on steroids. Now the first Dubai bank is run by Tanoon Bin Zayed al nahan. That's MBZ's brother. Tanun also oversees a fund called Lunate, which is among the largest stakeholders in Kushner's shady private equity firm, Affinity Partners. The money was sent by a bank in Azerbaijan where banks have well established but unadvertised practices of exchanging Saudi riyals or Amitri dirhams for the equal equivalent of American dollars. Four senior Trump administration officials, including two national security advisers, a ah, White House Chief of Staff, and a former CIA director, Toad Cole, they were not aware that the President had authorized Kushner to access foreign government bank accounts. Kushner's lawyer denied that his client had any knowledge of the charity or the bank account. You're a signatory on it, sir.
Yeah.
And claimed that Trump's son in law did not make any arrangements with foreign leaders that the President didn't agree to. Okay, so the President agreed to them. But that wasn't the only account Kushner managed. By the spring of 2018, MBZ also put about a of bunch billion for Kushner into a second account at Israel's second central bank at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's urging. Unlike the political slush fund, Kushner's activities in this account indicate it was there for his personal use. The money was difficult to access and so Kushner would channel requests directly through BB Net and Yahoo for the funds to be released through then Ambassador David M M Friedman and then move the money through an account in Cyprus. The former diplomat denied any involvement in the scheme and claims there are no accounts and there never were.
Additionally, the UAE secretly put money into yet another account at Israel's central bank as a quote, rainy day defense fund in case of an attack from Iran, it should go without saying, but Kushner did not disclose his access to these accounts to the irs.
Shocking.
In violation of federal law at the time, Kushner was a government employee who worked in the White House, meaning he was required to submit public and confidential financial forms and disclose any bank account on which he had access as a signatory or beneficiary. Kushner also failed to disclose himself as an agent of a foreign government under Farah, having been paid nearly $2 billion in total by foreign leaders. If he offered anything in return for the money, even just conversations with his father in law, then he would have violated U.S. bribery laws and the foreign agent statute.
I am so fucking disgusted at how Much this family has stolen and made, and the Republicans don't seem to fucking care. Like it is just wild to me. Yeah, they could stop this immediately. All of it.
All right, we got to go after Cora and Corey Lewandowski. Because he didn't cut me in this $14 million deal.
Exactly. Yep. Yep. All right. From CNN. The Pentagon has given the Department of Homeland Security permission to test a military grade heat ray and develop tactics to potentially use it in operations at the southern US Border. According to a memo signed by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth last month and obtained by cnn, the heat ray, officially known as the Active Denial System, is a non lethal weapon that shoots an invisible beam of electromagnetic waves that can reach a little more than half a mile away. They're just going to be fucking using this like a cat laser. That, by the way, was. According to the US Military. The energy beam causes a burning sensation when it comes into contact with the human skin, which Pentagon officials have previously compared to feeling a blast of heat when opening a hot oven. Military officials have said the resulting tingling effect lasts between 10 and 15 minutes. But it also generates an instinctive and irresistible urge to run from the effect in what fucking direction, by the way? Now, deploying the heat ray at the US Border would be an unprecedented step even for the Trump administration, which has made border security and clamping down on immigration a top priority. The DHS request did not specify where or how the weapon would be tested and how it might eventually be used. But over the years there have been internal discussions about potentially using it for crowd dispersal along the U.S. mexico border, according to current and former Customs and Border Protection officials. Jim Acosta reported on this a couple of weeks back, but CNN hadn't credited him here.
Yeah, so how long before that's used on peaceful protesters?
Oh, I would say pretty quickly.
Yeah.
Next up from the post. It was early this year when Pete Hegseth wanted to move the world a replica of it. Anyway, I love when news reports open
up with when they're all cute.
Something whimsical like that. Yeah, like Zooey Deschanel wrote it. Okay. Two floor globes said to be used by General Dwight D. Eisenhower during World War II, are, housed in the Pentagon, where subsequent generations of army leaders became custodians of the artifacts, according to people familiar with their lineage and an accompanying plaque dating them to the 1930s. The historical significance was attractive to Hegseth, according to the people and his staff requested the Secretary's office become the new home to one of the 30 inch globes. Ordinarily, moving historical items within the building is a deliberate process overseen by trained curators. Instead, Hegsest staff dispatched its own team to relocate an Eisenhower globe. They lost control of it and they dropped it, sending the globe crashing onto its base and impaling the fragile shell near Antarctica. That's according to those familiar with the incident. The resulting gash appears to be several inches wide. The Pentagon officials denied the Washington Post request for a photo of the globe or to examine the artifact in person, but the Post separately obtained images of the damage. The army office in possession of the globe had expected to consult with Experts at the U.S. army center for Military History on how to ensure its safe transport and properly document its relocation to Hegseth's office. That's according to two people familiar. Like others, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe a previously undisclosed incident. The history staffers were furloughed. Dana. They were furloughed due to a partial government shutdown stemming from a dispute in Congress over aspects of the Trump administration's immigration policy. When the experts could not be reached, Hegseth staff decided to move the globe themselves, therefore breaking it.
All right, thanks so much, Allison. This one's from the Associated Press. A federal judge on Thursday ordered Trump to sit for a deposition in his $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC. And by the way, all of these memes about Trump having to open up for the BBC are making me laugh, by the way, but that's for December 11th, and if you all are not getting the joke, it's BBC stands for Big Black Cock. Okay, moving on. The order from US Magistrate Judge Lett came as lawyers for the British broadcaster complained that Trump had delayed his appearance and he had. Charles Tobin, attorney for the BBC, said that with two months left in the discovery period, we still haven't been able to depose the plaintiff. He noted that there was an agreed upon date of October 16, but said that Trump had canceled for matters of national importance. But the Republican president was in fact campaigning in Georgia that day. He was participating in party politics and prioritizing that over sitting for the deposition. Let said Trump must sit for the deposition December 11th or face sanctions up to dismissal of his lawsuit unless the discovery period is extended past December 18th. I'm shocked that Trump hasn't already backed off this lawsuit. He wants a dismissal, right?
Well, he, you know, he wants to keep it open as long as he possibly can, and he really didn't want to have to be deposed before the midterms. So Trump did win a little bit in that respect. He doesn't have to pisses me off be deposed until December 11th. But generally the first time either party asks for a bit of time or a delay, it's usually granted. And so he knows that. He knows exactly what he's doing. All right, well, I think we did it. We got through the news of the week and that just. We did John Fugal saying, and the good news.
So we're gonna bring on his hair.
Bring on the hair. We'll do that after this break. Stick around. We'll be right back. Hey, everybody. Some nights, like Friday nights, after a long week, I want a good meal for dinner. But I don't want to spend the money on takeout or spend the rest of my evening creating it from scratch or going to the store. And that's one of the reasons I love Home Chef so much. It saves me time and energy and I still get that restaurant quality meal that I've been craving all day. With more than 30 meal options each week, Home Chef gives you plenty of choices for different tastes and dietary needs. They also make it easier to stay aligned with your specific nutrition goals through pre portioned ingredients and dietitian approved guidelines. With meals rich in protein and fiber to support fullness, which is also important at my age. And it also helps blood sugar stability without sacrificing variety or flavor. It's less than 20 minutes to make you get a tasty blend of turkey, zucchini, peppers, cheese and more. And it was exactly what I needed after a long day. And it was hearty enough for one of the first chilly nights of the season. I loved it. It was so comforting. And the way Home Chef knows how to hit the spot really needs to be studied. You can also listen to the John Fugal Sang show podcast and of course you have your copy of Separation of Church and Hate and his new book coming out, which you can pre order Fake Christians with a really great, subtitle.
We'll get into very long subtitle. Yes.
Please welcome John Fugal saying hello, my friend.
Thank you, Dr. Gill. It's so good to see you again. Thanks for having me. Coming to you today live from, the SiriusXM studios here in Hollywood.
Yes, I can see it's very fancy. You're very fancy today.
Thank you very much. Yes, I have a lot of, a lot of festive blue light and but, but yeah, it's it's like a ghost town here as well. So they let me use, use conference rooms. How are you?
Not as fancy though as, the New Mexico Attorney general filing a civil suit against, these two, associates, a lawyer and an accountant of Jeffrey Epstein.
Isn't that great? Zorro Ranch. I mean, I don't want to get too optimistic because that's against my nature, but what kind of precedent could be set here if we stop waiting for the federal government and Todd Blanche to ever do anything about the child rape and the Epstein files and just look to New Mexico because it's astonishing what we're seeing here. I mean, Attorney General Raul Torres, he has filed this federal lawsuit against, Darren Endyke, Richard Kahn and the Epstein estate after the lawyer, the accountant, and the actual estate, which still has over $100 million. He, was a billionaire when he died. I guess there's still 100 million left. But like, this is amazing because the whole lawsuit is about how indycan Khan helped to finance and operate and conceal the entire sex trafficking operation, which tells me this could be an incredible precedent for other states and scare the hell out of all the bankers and henchmen who are helping, other such sex trafficking operations. So, I mean, hats off to, New Mexico.
Yes, I agree, hats off. Although I'm not, I don't think I share your optimism. Mainly because Todd Blanche's DOJ apparently opened a criminal investigation into Kahn and Endyke in the Southern District of New York. I think for the sole purpose of having to avoid discovery in something like what the Attorney General has brought or any other state or Local investigations by saying, we're the federal government. Stand down, we're investigating. Remember when they did that and they sat on the Michael Cohen investigation?
I do remember. I mean, this time they say they want to stop these guys from continuing to profit from the assets, and they intend to do that by showing the receipts to say these guys knew they were protecting the rape of children. So I'm really ready for Todd Blanche to defend that.
Yeah, and I hope they have their own evidence as well, because we know the Attorney General reopened the criminal investigation into Zorro Ranch and may have their own records and not have to rely on the Department of Justice's records.
Well, I don't think we have to worry, because Donald Trump is actually showing a lot of leadership on this issue. He wants to rename New Mexico New Americ. Cause apparently, I guess Mexico has been loitering a little too close to the US without proper documentation. so right now, this guy is looking at New Mexico thinking, you know what this state needs? Not lower housing costs, not better healthcare. They need a rebrand. Like, he wants to change the name of New Mexico to New America. Someone's gotta tell him where New York got our name. Or New Hampshire. Yeah.
What's the old America that there now is a new America for?
we defeated the British, and, ah, we're still there. Named after a place in England. Sad. He's gonna have to. New York's gonna have to be New America 2, and New Jersey's gonna have to be New America 3. And then they'll have to have an investigation to find out why it still smells like New Jersey. New, Year's Eve will be America's Eve. That's the whole governing philosophy, Alison. They're gonna tear down the East Wing and put up a giant label maker in its place so he can rename shit and call it governance.
Well, that's all they've got. That and, the, you know, going after the trans folks and insinuating that Talarico and Less Than Men.
Oh, yeah.
And, of course, using Amy Acton's mother in a smear. And it's not even an ad because there's no paid for or. I approve this message at the end of the ad. It's just an online smear campaign using, gosh, what is it with the Republicans and people who aid and abet pedophiles?
Yeah, what is it as well? I mean, in a week when Ted Nugent gets to give a speech at a Trump rally, let's give thanks, because the pedophiles are always the bad guys in movies, aren't they? I mean, when's the last time you saw a pedophile get portrayed fairly in anything? They're always portrayed by Hollywood as such monsters. We finally have an administration that's willing to break their own law to protect child rapists and elevate them on stage and put them in ads. This whole thing, I mean, we know Vivek Ramaswamy might be the most soulless of all of them. Right? Like, Vivek Ramaswamy, to me, Alison, is like, if Eddie Haskell from Leave it to Beaver was out doing coke in the garage with James woods all night, I think that's what his personality would be. There's millions of adults who've had to sever contact with a parent because of abuse or neglect or manipulation or some combination. but what's amazing is that after all of the revulsion, after so many Republicans said, this is just wrong, this woman allowed the abuse to continue. This woman let her husband abuse her kids so bad, they took the kids away from her. They haven't seen this woman in 48 years, and they drag a nickel through a trailer park to get her. She fled with the child rapist and stayed with him until she died, let her kids go, chose the rapist over her children. And this is usually the moment in a campaign when someone puts down the phone and says, we may have made a mistake, but this is Trumpism. And doubling down is like this whole ritual, but admit nothing, apologize for nothing, and treat every offended American as proof that our shitty attack ad must be working. But you just nailed it, Alison, because it's nothing but an attack. Every ad we ever see has at the end the sponsorship disclaimer. I'm Vivek Ramaswamy and I approve this message. This was put out without anyone revealing who paid for it. So this was only intended to hurt someone and not be a campaign ad.
Yeah. And you know what's. What do you think about. Because Donald Trump just put out on Truth Social defending Vivek.
Yeah, of course.
But there are so many Republicans. Even Republican Governor DeWine denounced this ad. Even Nancy Mace went on CNN and denounced this ad.
when Nancy Mace thinks you are too tacky. I mean, really, folks, take a step back and look at the line you stepped over.
Do you think that this just. I mean, I think it's backfiring. Obviously. I don't know how it's going to impact the election. We'll learn that soon, in Ohio. But for Donald Trump to come out on the side of, I think what is considered a bipartisan backlash against this ad isn't going to do him or his party any favors.
Well, true, but Vivek's got a secret weapon guaranteed to capture the fancy of the American people, and that is, the machine of charisma that is JD Vance. JD Comes out and says he's disgusted, Alison. Not by the campaign ad exploiting a woman's child rape. He's disgusted by Republicans who are disgusted by the ad because J.D. vance has the moral compass of a broken dildo. And Vivek is spending 4 million. Now they're gonna double down and spend even more money to let this woman who was the accomplice of a child rapist who abandoned her own kids, and the party of family values has outsourced its values to the family member least qualified to provide them. But this is where it's going to be so comically self defeating, because this was all done to get viewers to distrust Amy Acton. Her revolting mother is saying, my daughter lies. Hasn't seen the woman in 48 years. All this is going to do is redirect the good people of Ohio to understand the circumstances of her childhood and the allegations against her stepfather and the role her mother played and her insanely strong bravery and resilience. And people are gonna wonder, why the hell would anyone turn that tragedy into a $4 million attack ad? It's gonna be beautiful. The only bad side to this is we're gonna have to see Vivek on Fox News a lot more after Election Day.
Yeah, that's true. Yeah. but you know, it's also kind of fascinating. All those rape apologists who say that there's no such thing as rape unless there's a conviction in a court of law are all of a sudden real silent now because he fled, he went on the lam. And that woman in the ad, their estranged mother protected him from having to go back to court and face the consequences of his actions.
It's like Dennis Hassert never really died, isn't it? They're just keeping a little bit of him alive for the whole party. Democrats would eject you from the party for a rumor of this sort of thing. And Republicans, shucks, they've got wife beaters running for reelection in Congress. They don't care about child rape. You don't bring Ted Nugent on stage with you. You don't break your own law every day since December 19, 2025 to protect child rapists. You don't release the names of the Epstein victims while protecting the names of the rapists and expect us to believe you take this issue seriously. And so it's completely consistent. They deserve Amy Acton's wretched mom, and Amy Acton's wretched mom has found her tribe.
Yeah, but it's all about instant first impressions. Red meat for the base, which is dwindling, by the way. I will say that the base is dwindling. That's it.
That's why they're doing it.
but, you know, this is, We also see this, evidence of first impressions is what matters in this BBC lawsuit where, I mean, how many times has Trump sued somebody and then right before he has to be deposed, tries to delay it? And if he can, he'll delay it a little bit and then drop the suit when discovery time happens?
It's so beautiful. I mean, the BBC has shown the rest of the world how to outplay this guy. and imagine if cbs, cared about that when Donald Trump shook them down for a $16 million bribe over how they edited a Kamala Harris interview, and they just gave him the money to avoid a lawsuit. Trump is suing the BBC for $10 billion. That seems to be his favorite number. That's what he sued the rest of us for. So they wisely said, great, we're gonna bring in Jack Smith, who investigated all of this. So Trump wants 10 billion in damages, but he can't afford to let the other side ask questions. He wants billions for this documentary about January 6th, but he does not want the guy who investigated January 6th to have to answer any questions under oath. So essentially, he's, like, suing a restaurant for bad food, but he's blocking the health inspector from testifying. And they tried to put off his own deposition because it was national importance for a campaign rally. You know, I mean, the buffet won't wait, Alison. So I just hats off to the BBC for showing us how to handle this guy. And I think it's great they're gonna keep Jack Smith busy until he becomes our next attorney general. I was just hoping for more Jack Smith testimony on my tv. That's all I wanted.
Yeah. Music to my ears. and, you know, I'm not sure generally these kinds of depositions stay under seal, in these sort of civil proceedings, but you'll recall, when Matt Gaetz's friend Chris Dorworth sued one of the Jane does for defamation about the sex trafficking stuff, and they. Dorworth dropped the lawsuit the day before Gaetz was to be deposed, that someone had actually hacked and got the depositions of some of the people. And so, you know, it's not outside the realm of possibility that whatever, Jack Smith testifies to might at some point become public. And Jack Smith is no longer a government employee and can tell everyone what he testified to if he so chooses. at least I know that's true in criminal investigations. I don't know if you would do that in a civil one, because you might hurt the case. But. But we've already heard his testimony. We already know what he's found. it's in his volume one. we're still trying to pry volume two out of the hands of Eileen Cannon.
I can't wait for volume. I'm waiting for Jack Smith's volume two more than I'm waiting for volume two of Bob Dylan's memoir. And I've been waiting 22 years for volume two of Bob Dylan's memoir. But, I mean, thank you for reminding me of credibly accused, child rapist Matt Gaetz. I almost forgot him in my list of other malfeasance, actors before, we have to remember that Donald Trump really tried hard to make a child rapist America's top cop. You know, little factoid to remind uncle race of stuff sometime.
But, yeah, the day before he was going to be deposed, he's like, hey, please, my friend, can you drop your lawsuit so that I don't have to be deposed?
So brilliant. But it's all. I mean, everything they're doing is panic now. Everything is panic. And to me, that's the great thing is watching them realize they have no game. We talked about this last week. This Ilhan Omar business was not done to try to get folks from the other side to come over to Republicans. This was not done to try to get independents and moderates to come over to Republicans. This was done to try to get the most racist, debased Republicans to show up for the party on election day. Ilhan Omar was like, this is like the porn fantasy for people who have too much Fox News. All the lies you love in one, and it's blowing up in his face. It's not gonna help him. She's gonna get reelected by astonishing numbers. And it just shows us that they are so scared now, they're begging their own core racists to show up next week.
Yeah, I mean, that's all they have. It's all they have.
Yeah. Right now, it's all they can hope for.

Love to see it. My goodness. All right. Gabriella Pronoun. She and her hey, Beans Queens. I'm a new listener and so grateful to have found your show for the past month. You've been my daily morning coffee comrades as I get ready to head into my high school classroom to hopefully shape the youth of America into kind, competent and courageous future leaders. Some good news. This is my rabbit, phoebe who turned 11 years old this month. I teach high school and theology and religious studies and she is named after the badass deaconess in the Bible who smashed the ancient patriarchy, thriving as a self reliant girl boss who used her wealth and power to lead her community on her own terms. Happy birthday Phoebe and go vote blue.
Okay.
You're gorgeous by the way. This is a photo of you. Gabriella and the students are lucky to have you and that rabbit is absolutely adorbs. Go phoebe, go Gabriela.
11 year old bun is impressive and I love the rose and the purple chrysanthemum on your arm. Just. And thank you for your service as a teacher and a bun owner. Thanks for taking care of the buns. Next up, Judy from Blue Main pronoun. She and her. My husband and I recently completed a trip, from Brunswick, Maine through Boston, Chicago to Seattle, then to Emeryville in the Bay area. From there we went back to Chicago, then Boston, back to Maine, all on a train. Because we stopped over in Chicago, I absolutely had to flip the bird at the ugly tower. My darling husband cooperated and here are two photos that he took for us to send to you. By the way, I wasn't the only visitor on the street flipping the administration the bird that day. People came up to us to let us know that they'd done the same. The feeling of camaraderie was the highlight of our trip. Judy, this is a great photo. Look at both of them. Oh, I love it. Yeah. Judy, when we did our big group photo flipping the bird to the tower when we were at in Chicago for the Patreon gala, just the people passing by were like hell yeah, we'll join in and flip off the building. It was truly, truly so much fun. Thank you for that.
Oh my goodness.
Love it.
All right, from M. Nancy Pronoun. She and her I know hi beans Queens. Thanks for all that you do and congrats on the Signal Award. I wanted to add a suggestion on what to do for those opaque nonpartisan judge votes on the ballot. Most of these judges have had prior experience in lower court systems and you can look up their prior decisions to get a better feel for their positions in California. One such location is the State of California Commission and Judicial Performance where you can search by the judge's name attaches a photo of our Much loved Blank. No point in guessing bet. Who died three years ago at the age of 14. This is her looking at me like I both ruined her nap and lost my mind after dropping a few of cellophane hearts on her for the ideal Valentine's Day pick.
This just precious pug, Angelica's pug and Jean. I mean, I've got my good friends like Ian and Sarah, like, have pugs, rescue pugs all the time. And I just absolutely love a little pug. I really do. Oh, my goodness, yes, Nancy, thank you so much for that. Look at her little face. All right, next up from Anonymous. Hello, Beans family. I live in a Minneapolis suburb and the last year has dramatically changed me. My introverted, non confrontational self has been on the streets fighting for people I don't know. I have met the most wonderful people, our immigrant neighbors and the amazing activist community working to care for and protect them. The photo I've attached is of the Rebel Loon Archive. This is a book of protest art and stories. I've always been somewhat indifferent about art, but this is different. When I look at these pages and read these stories, they are real. I can feel them in my core. The archive started with the Internet of being on the Internet of being a small collection, but it's grown dramatically. They published this beautiful hardcover book, and I believe there are plans for future work. Proceeds go to mutual aid, legal assistance, and other vetted programs. You can see more at the Rebelloon Archive. Am I. Am I doing that right? Like rebellion, but loons like the birds?
I think so, yeah.
And we'll have a link in the show notes the rebelloonarchive.com look at. These are beautiful.
Stunning.
Yeah. There they are. The loons. The Rebel Loon Archive. That's it.
All right, next up from Bob. Pronouns, he and him. Not exactly good news, just more of a tip. There are brochures titled Texas Trans LGBTQ Student Resource Guide. And by the way, we are going to cover this on the beans a little bit. The beans talk, I believe. we have a story about this. They are titled Texas Trans LGBTQ Student Resource Guide. Arriving in envelopes addressed to the students of individual families rather than their parents. Inside, the materials discuss transgender identity, obtaining support from adults outside the family, affirming medical care and emancipation, the legal process through which minors can sometimes become independent of their parents. The pamphlets direct readers to established LGBTQ advocacy organizations, including the Transgender Education Network of Texas, commonly known as Tent. There's just one problem. TENT says it had absolutely nothing to do with this Producing, authorizing, or distributing the materials. And I can tell you where they came from. They came from a shell fucking company in Wyoming. And that is my interjection. We are going to address that. like I said on the Beans Talk very quickly, this is horrifying that they're doing this. And, parents are getting these in the mail addressed to their children. But, Bob, thank you for this. Bob went on to say, have a pic of my three legged pet. Congrats on the Signal Awards. Well deserved.
Yeah, fake transgender advocacy mailers. And, yeah, we're gonna cover the details of where they came from and what's still unknown, on Beans Talk today, because this is, this is sparking a lot of outrage, and rightfully so. Look at this sweet tripod kitty.
No.
Very adorable. Thank you for bringing that to our attention, Bob. We appreciate it. Next up, Carlos Almonte, M.D. pronouns he and him. I reported Trump's fraud on fraud.gov. here's my report in part. Quote, Donald Trump has increased his net worth by over $2 billion since January of 2025. His family has also increased their net worth by exorbitant amounts. Barron Trump is a millionaire or billionaire by doing what exactly? Insider trading, in my opinion. Love you, ladies. I always start my day with you in my ears on my workout runs. Oh, awesome. Thank you, Carlos. My pod pet tax is attached dogs from left to right. Charlie Bear. Blank, blank, blank, blank, blank. Yes. We did a DNA check on him. Dexter, A, mini blank. Searcy. She's a poppy poo. And then two other blanked out things. Six months old and a whopping seven and a half pounds. Oh, my God. Alfred Blank. He passed away in August. We adopted him at 14 years old. So he was with us for a year. And we loved him, as he had been with us from birth. Folks who adopt senior pets are just. I have a special place in my heart.
Yeah.
All right. Charlie Bear looks like a lab.
And I. I gotta tell you this, that the way this is set up is making my brain short circuit. So I'm gonna let you take this.
All right, so Charlie Bear is on the left, and he looks like some sort of a lab. something big. I, I really can't tell. Let's see what we got. Charlie Bear. Is it okay? Shiba Inu. Shetland sheepdog, Anatolian shepherd and Chihuahua. Okay.
All right.
Could have fooled me. Charlie Bear. Dexter looks like a, like a. Where is Dexter? it's hard to see. Looks like some sort of something poo. Let's See what we got. Oh, Mini schnauzer.
All right.
Cersei is a Pappy Poo, which I'm guessing is a Papillon poodle mix. And yeah, there it is.
Our, our participants. I could have gotten Beagle.
Yeah.
And Alfred. There he is, the beagle. look at this sweet baby. Thank you so much for sending us, this photo and your, form filling out to fraud.gov, everybody flood the zone, go to fraud.gov and report Donald Trump for fraud.
Seriously. All right, next up from Larry pronouns, he and him. If you are reading this A G and D G, then you have survived another day and could use some good news like this. I'm, writing to give you a shout out to my friend Pat and his amazing little bike shop, Access Trikes. Pat has a rare, slow moving form of als. We met after my wife was diagnosed with the same disease that threatened to keep him from getting on the bike trails like he's been doing his whole life. He had difficulty finding a bike shop that understood his needs. So two years ago he opened his own. He builds and sells these awesome recumbent trikes, both unpowered and with electric assist, for people with physical challenges. He rents them as well. He's also coined a term for the goofy, nonstop grin his clients have after riding one of these machines for the first time. It's called trike Face. If anyone in San Francisco Bay Area wants to connect with him and his shop, check out the shop's website, accesstrikes.com this is absolutely brilliant. The first photo is from left to right, my gorgeous wife Erica, Pat, the shop owner and our friend Scott, who also has the same disease and their trikes, taking a break during a ride along the bay on a beautiful sunny day. Second photo is for your fur tacks. Our feral rescue bonded boy cats, Amos on the left and Ghost on the right in a portrait we've entitled hey Girl.
Oh my God. That is the best name for this photo. Oh my God. Hey girl. So accesstrikes.com we'll have, like you said, Dana, a link in the show notes and when, you know, I was working at the VA and we did our summer thing, with the summer games for veterans. So many like custom, built recumbent trikes, for people with access issues and they truly are just an absolute miracle to be able to get out and ride like that. It's fantastic. And so I'm so glad, to see this and thank you for sending that in that shout out to that great local business like I said, we'll have a link in the show notes. All right, everybody, that's it. That's the week. You did it.
You did it.
You did it. You got through the week. We're, very proud of you. And, it's been a long one. And next one's gonna be a long one as well. All those last minute October surprises popping the election shenanigans that are going to pop up. And we're going to talk about some of those over on Beans Talk. But do you have any final thoughts before we get out of here, my friend?
No final thoughts for today.
All right, everybody, we will be back in your ears on Monday. Of course, there'll be unjustified in the breakdown on Sunday. Until then, please take care of yourselves, take care of each other, take care of the planet, take care of your mental health, take care of your family. don't vote red because we'll all be dead. And vote down ballot all the way. I've been aggressive.
I've been dg.
